This is the second half of our latest episode on how to not be snatched. So, here, we have tips for personal safety, especially for young mothers.

These 2 topics are tightly related. Since we have had a very lucrative business going on, and now supply sharply restricted, but demand has not, then American (or women and children who are not migrants).

While I am no expert in this topic, it is so important that it must be shared with everyone. Be aware! Head on a swivel. And notice that only in modern Christian nations have women felt safe to travel alone!

Also, watch out for phishing: urgent emails that appear to be from a reputable company (or a government entity) that getyou to give them your security info.

5/16/25 Unfortunately, I have to say “I told you so” again. These posts should have been shared very widely, but they just were not that popular. People like candy, not assignments. Today, on Next Door (social media for a larger neighborhood) there were 4 snatching attempts posted. Apparently, police are not yet taking the reports seriously. No one seems to connect the snatching attempts with cartel or border activity. There is just the usual conversation about walking home from school, having whistles, schools should… yada yada. Watch your children closely. Stand with them to wait for the bus. Teaching them to walk together and how to avoid being snatched. And please share this post.

Back in 2009 advertising and multi-level marketing guru, Dani Johnson, told us that porn companies were targeting children. (She had at that time a new book, Grooming Children for Success, see last episode.) She was on a campaign. She proved to be right.

What none of us imagined was how far people would go. It was not just porn they wanted to sell, by addicting children early and then having a captive market. They wanted more. They wanted to groom… victims… and perpetrators.

Take a listen to what Dani said then. Still great advice for parents.

But for citizens, especially grandparents who have time to engage in the civil arena — WHAT IS GOING ON? Did you know that nationwide there is a very strong push to sexualize children, to insist on pornographic materials be in school libraries and covertly in curricula. It is hard for older people in my neighborhood to believe, but teachers were told about 2020 not to send the porn books home. Not to tell parents. But the students did. But then, there was outpoliticking at the school board level. And anyone who objects to this is harrassed… yes, literally. Uniformed men harrass any parent who patiently waits for their 1 to 3 minutes of testimony. And then, there is no security walking out into the dark parking lot. Of course, even in this permitless carry state, no one is safe. Every bag carried in — by a citizen– must be clear and without a weapon. Only the harrassers, only the groomers, only the criminals may carry. And now the governor wants to control homeschooling curricula. But still, now 6 years into this… it is very hard to imagine. Unless you have seen it repeatedly.

And a smaller city in Texas has this week found a 3 teacher in as many weeks who had sexually depredated upon a child! (more rural town)

At the busy Texas legislative session, the House Judiciary Committee scheduled a hearing on accountability for government school employees sexually depredating upon children. Announcement was 8:00am. It was the last item on the agenda, item “T.” At 9:30 am they were hearing invited testimony about increasing judges pay because they have to sign so many warrants in the middle of the night on the hoods of police cruisers. (I guess reading them first is not under consideration?) And this trumps ongoing sexual predation in state run schools and probably insufficient accountability?

Our Education System is so Bad, we Need to Start Over!

Some tweaking won’t do it. By far.

Going back to what we did when you were that age won’t do it. That is what led us here.

Going back to the 1950s would be an improvement, but not good enough.

Going back to the 1830s — maybe we would see the diverging paths. The leaders saw it. It was controversial. The wrong path was chosen, however. What was partially put down in the 1830s (teaching reading badly) was re-instituted more easily later because of the government takeover and standardization that happened in the 1830s. Yes, that was Horace Mann — who also worked hard to get the Bible out of the language of school.

Today, we are completely dismayed at how bad things are — if we are informed at all. Massive functional illiteracy. Pervasive entitlement and avoidance of work. Sexual depredation by policy. Thanks for those who sally at the windmills and try to improve things through legislation. But not enough by half. We need a thorough remake.

It is really time to think.
