Universal Business Education

As the last in our series about the sound of Pentecost, and preparatory to our series on what to teach your children about money, we consider the suggestion for universal business education — something that American public education seems to have always been allergic to. Strange for the most capitalistic society? First, can we still claim that? Likely not. However, public school was originally designed to make train factory workers out of immigrants. More recently, it was designed to make useful idiots. (Documentation later, if you like.) For now, let’s think what it might be like to teach children about business principles.

Make a Sound in Schools

Pentecost is about empowerment. The Holy Spirit came in like the sound of a mighty rushing wind. We are not filled to speak the word. Make a sound. Let’s consider how we could make a sound in schools.

I think perhaps many people have discovered a lot about what is going on in school and not going on during our lockdown. Others might be alerted by the strange news of Marxist influence in riots or read the series about Marist influence in a series in the Epoch Times. I didn’t focus primarily on that, but there are many worrying trends. We need to do something about it. Even if we are homeschoolers, we are citizens. Even if we can isolate our children in Christian schools, they will live in the same world as the majority of children. Let’s consider what sounds we should be making.

Pentecost Power: Sound in Government

It is time to make a sound in government. Otherwise your rights will be gone: free speech, free assembly, right to follow your conscience. Shouldn’t have to explain much about that today. But how? Listen. That is what Holy Spirit came for.

Pentecost Power to Great Awakening — A Sound Thru the Earth

Just as we experienced Passover this year, as we were in our homes as the death angel passed over us, now we experience Pentecost. May Holy Spirit come and sit upon us and empower us with a sound from heaven. May we carry that sound, in unity, and going from our center out to the most remote part of the earth. Too long we have read this, said this, and not participated. Now. Our children first. Our family and our church is Jerusalem. Let’s make a sound. (This is the episode for June 6th, but posted early because I know I have people waiting for it. Pentecost/Shavuot was May 28 and Pentecost Sunday was last Sunday. )
