Lots of people are starting to homeschool. Fortunately, we have faced the fears before you. Welcome. Fear one: Can you do it? Yes. Can you teach reading and writing. Well, yes, if you find out how. BTW, it is teaching Writing (handwriting) and only THEN reading. Bet you didn’t know that. Know why? Because your model is public schooling.

You know public schooling is doing a bad job now. Did you know that it has been doing an increasingly bad job for 100 years?  Yes. The good part about that is that we have other methods that have shown for 100 years that it can be done better. I will let you in on the secret on that teaches handwriting, reading, and composition the most easily. It is like games. For 4 year olds! They love it.

NO MORE DREARY DEADENING STULTIFYING WORKSHEETS. Throw out the worksheets (for teaching handwriting especially.) They don’t work. Did they work for you? Were they fun? Do you want to teach your kids that learning is not fun? That they can’t do it? if so, use worksheets. if not… listen to this episode.

Since V&@# safety is probably the largest child safety question, and regular V#$@#$ may be the largest learning problem, we are passing along what legal and medical opinions we know, and offering a short list of possible claims for religious exemptions based on the Bible or the Judeo-Christian traditions. The inclusion of fetal tissue is NOT the only reason.

KrisAnne Hall, attorney and teacher of The Constitution says there is no argument in court against the content of your strongly held conviction. Judge O’Connor has recently ruled that there is no c0V!d exception from The First Amendment.  There are many more reasons to object than fetal cells alone. Further, the Judeo-Christian traditions tasks parents with responsibility for their children and does embrace science and reason — without contradicting the mandates of faith.

Please notice that religious convictions are not mere preferences, but convictions of conscience. These convictions and the right to one’s conscience is a strongly held principle in Christianity, European American culture and US Law. Remember Martin Luther saying, “Here I stand. I can do no other.”  Convictions like this one will die for…. or live for. Martyring others does not work in lands where convictions like this are based on ultimate, eternal reality. That is why the Judeo-Christian world has the been the free, prosperous, friendly world — rather than the world of tyranny. Religious convictions are good for society. That is why we have the First Amendment trumping any other law and have always had religious exemptions to any other mandate.

V@## Mandates are the number one threat to children, health, safety, and society. That the Constitution, the law, and even religious exemptions have been ignored illustrates the dire tyranny of the situation. Please get involved.

Jesus Being Fully and Exactly Human

Great topic for back to school! Confidence for overcoming school challenges is a vital issue for the student who has some sort of learning problem. First, one must start with the right identity or self concept. Then one must say, enunciate positive confessions (both good self-talk and appropriate words in social context.) This is fundamental. Almost always, the process of diagnosis and the school situation gives the bright student the idea that he or she is stupid. From that perspective, they do not find the solutions for overcoming that they need. Faith, here, finds the grace available. The first — and last word — for helping the student with LD/learning problems.

Bible on Healing: Jesus Interprets Isaiah 53

Second in our little teaching on healing. We went thru the meaning of the Hebrew in Isaiah 53: “He took away our griefs” meaning he carried away our sickness. Now, we can hear what Matthew records as Jesus’ teaching on the subject. You will see that Jesus, too, thought that you are already healed by the Messiah’s work on the cross. Because Matthew wrote it down, you can also tell that this is what the first church understood to be Jesus’ teaching and work.

This is not just a history lesson or just an exercise in Bible exegesis. This is the basic reality of what Jesus came to do as Christ/Messiah. Healing is provided, just like forgiveness of sins. It is part of salvation. But just like we had to learn to believe and receive justification/salvation, so we have to learn to believe and receive sozo/healing . Did you know that even 150 years ago, people were not sure that God would forgive their sins? There was a “mourners’ bench” in services where people who were anxious about their salvation would sit and cry. There was great rejoicing when one finally felt the witness in his or her spirit that they were saved. John Wesley himself went through years of not knowing — which we know because he kept a journal. Then one night, when someone was reading an explanation of Romans, he felt a strange warming of the heart.” This meant that finally, what he knew was good theology he then knew and felt applied to him. He was learning about what we call salvation, but which is just that first step of salvation, knowing you are forgiven of your sins.

It has been maybe as long as 100 years or maybe not even that long that we have known that healing is in the atonement. But we individually have to come to know that it is applied to us. That is what this teaching aims at.

Of course, any parent can believe for their child. And should! It’s is not just that God wants to heal you child, but that Jesus has already done the work. What we need to do is to receive it. It is like the download is waiting. That is good news! Healing is waiting for you and your child. Understanding the Bible is part of the path toward downloading it.
