“Zero Percent Chance of Living”

“Zero Percent Chance of Living” is what the medic said about my grandson when he took him off the icy pavement and put him into the ambulance. But we believe in healing. I called up another ministry in that town. We all prayed. He turned 5 in a coma. When he came to, the nurses celebrated with me. When my grandson went to a room and I had a moment, I called the DPS medic to thank him. He was speechless.

That is how this broadcast started. My daughter and her sons had a terrible auto accident. It was that icy Christmas of 2004. I sent her away, back to her home, so I could have a bit of a rest over the holidays. But we got that call. That one you always dread. We got on a plane to the next big city, where there was what was supposed to be the best pediatric ICU unit in the state. We set up camp. We prayed. I called for help.

This one lived. And more than lived. He was not a vegetable as the nurses assured me he would be. Oh… lots of stories along the way. About those nurses, for instance. But anyway, that grandson when on to be an honor student in the first grade. He went on to have a normal life, according to his circumstances.

And my pastor at that time ORDERED me to write a book about how I helped my grandchildren. That book is Learn at Home for Great Shalom. You don’t have to be a homes educator to use the knowledge of how to help your child, no matter what the learning need. Then God said to go on the radio. Which I did. Then I figured out that young mothers were more likely to listen to podcasts than Christian teaching and talk channels, so I was an early adopter of podcasting.

Here we are. I am just now figuring out how to offer Lioness levels. I am inviting you into faith for your child’s success. You might need a miracle like the one we got with this one. Hear the story.

MOTHERS’ DAY BLESSING

Well, I know Mothers’ Day has passed, but I felt moved to give you a blessing. It is from Psalm 112. God is interesting in blessing you. And your children. And your grandchildren. Did you know it? So here is your Mothers’ Day Blessing. Just listen.

I have been working now for 12 years to give you a blessing. Are you getting it? All? Kind of like God’s blessing … you have to partner to all of it. It just works that way. I can prove it by Scripture or by logic. Either way.

Getting More to You

I’d like to get more to you. So, I’ve worked out some levels of partnership. Please check these out on the “Join” page. Lioness level for minimum, but gets you connected. The Lioness Pride level gets you something every month that really has the value I believe exceeding the best program I know of, and it takes $64,000 and time and years and commuting, etc. I’ve distilled down lots of summarized help. A mom level protocol on what to do when you kid has a problem. An explanation of which professional does what, so you know which profession to seek out — rather than just get sold on whatever it is they have to sell. Then you could waste years and untold money. Get things solved. Knowledge and wisdom help. That is what I have to give you. Please receive!

Join Your Faith with My Faith

Anyway, please receive the blessing from Scripture — the one with the best claim to authenticity & biggest results. Look, I believe reason & faith go together. Maybe that makes me unique. I hope it helps a lot of people. This ministry is all about getting help for kids who need it. It starts with some faith. The alternative is to not start. It is founded on the revelation that God (Almighty Creator) wants total well-being for all children. The alternative is to resign yourself to whatever brokenness you are facing. I say I believe in miracles and I will take them any way they come. The alternative is to demand whatever method you accept, and do without if it needs to come in some other way. I am not talking about “oh well…. God will send it later” kind of different way. I am talking about cast a demon out when a demon needs to be cast out, eat better when better nutrition is needed, and teach differently when that is needed. Whatever it takes… but see that child whole, healthy, happy — and doing well in school and in life.

Partner with me in faith to get to your child in total well-being.

Success and Victory for Your Children

Rounding out a 3 part series on how to obtain success and victory for your children. We all talk a little about how this ‘cast can help you. It worked for us. We were commanded to share. It will work for you. Success and victory for your children in overcoming learning problems (often called “disabilities”) comes lots of ways, but it starts with hope and faith that it can come.

Miracles, healings, better health practices, and innovative education — all these are paths toward success and victory for children, but it all starts with the right kind of positive, active, faith.

And yes, everyone can have success and victory! Not everyone will be the same, but everyone can find the key to their optimal fulfillment, their calling, their contribution, their happiness. Maybe not in the ways that everyone thinks. Hear me out.

And this ‘cast, both in encouragement and in sharing good ideas, can be a part of that path to success, to victory. HalleluJah!

First in our series was : Praying for Kids in Trouble
Second in the series was: Praying for Kids for Success

And while this is supposed to be the last in the series, another one is coming: Praying for Prodigals. Working on that for you. Stay tuned. LOL

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU WOULD LIKE BE TO PRAY FOR OR WITH YOU. WOULD YOU LIKE ONLINE TIMES OF PRAYER? RECORDED? WHAT? BTW, SOME THING BIG COMING. STAY TUNED. STAY IN FAITH. be IN PRAYER.

Blessed Resurrection Day

A blessed resurrection day! Welcome to all my Lioness listeners. I welcome listeners from around the world. You are all my lioness listeners — meaning, mothers who work ferociously for the well=-being of their children. I tell a little bit about my story. I want to be sure you know about my resources. We also have a big announcement: you can join now at the Tribe or Pride level.

Back story: The term “tiger mom” was coined by Amy Chua. A quick search reveals mostly now mostly negative chatter, which is unfortunate. Here is a comment from a Tiger cub https://www.cnn.com/2013/05/17/opinion/liu-tiger-parents/index.html. Here is another. https://www.goodhousekeeping.com/life/parenting/a27197790/tiger-mom-parenting/

Asians do have a reputation for being academically oriented. While Asian cultures do value scholarship, the stereotype of Asian American mothers as being harsh or Asian American students as being inherently “brainy” is unfortunate. Studies show that while Asians do, on average, make better grades than other groups in the US, they also study more. In short, hours doing homework makes better grades. The same studies show that often Asian American students study in groups, either with siblings or with friends. This too, results in higher grades. Thus, rather than falling into racism, crazed supposed anti-racism, or into an overly quick criticism of mothering, let’s simply take the inspiration for scholarship and children’s well-being.
