Just this thing: A good book for a good child

I ‘ve told you before about Carl Sommer ‘s Advance Publishing that writes books with good morals for elementary aged children. HIs books are straightforward, Judeo-Christian values, without naming God. He aimed at getting these books into school libraries.

Why had we been suprrised with surly, unmannerly children, when that is exactly what we have put before their eyes on television and books? Let’s do better. Let’s ignore those who tell us that the books are old-fashiong and that morals are not wanted. We want them.

This Christmas or Hanukah, how about giving the gift of character to your own children or grandchildren. Then, maybe see if a donation to a library would be acceptable. Apparently, they have had difficulty finding good books. They may be short.
