Young people want to avoid conflict so much that they will prevent important conversations. Of course, peace is of high value. Is it more important than truth? Is it rude, by definition, to have a contrary opinion? Is it better to be politely quiet than to let someone go to hell? Or defend your faith? Most young adults would say “YES!”

What I am doing here is an updated version of “Apologetics.” In the best Christian schools, a class called Apologetics is offered. Most of the courses that I have seen, however, have been limited to classical questions and are watered down. Why Don’t you Pray?

How about this for a radical idea: pray! LOL Yes, as a response to terrorism, we should pray. (NO, of course not fail to do anything; bless our law enforcement; we mothers and grandmothers should pray! As a response to the crime rate, we should pray. As a response to the failing academic rates, we should pray. As a response to societal troubles, we should pray.

Actually not such a bad idea. You know that Maharishi Mahesh Yogi would get people meditating in a big city and have scientifically measured statistics that the crime rate would go down in that city. Don’t you think prayer would do just as well or better?

And if you don’t think your prayers do any good, then why don’t you go find out how to pray better? So many Christians just make up stories about why God doesn’t answer. Maybe the answer is to learn how to pray! If your computer is not doing what you want, often you check the manual or ask a friend. But computers do sometimes break, while we kinda think that the creator doesn’t. LOL

So, why don’t you set aside some time and pray? Wouldn’t that be a great New Year’s resolution? Maybe you could get together with some girlfriends to pray. Hot coffee, you know. Haha. Even checking in about prayer with your friends on the phone. Don’t tell me you don’t have time to talk on the phone. Spend a coffee break praying instead of jabbering about somebody’s new clothes? Build up a little workplace prayer group.

If MMYogi can change a city, why your prayers to Almighty God can change your workplace, your neighborhood, your city, your nation, and your world. PRAY in 2016. It’s an open door.

Happy to announce that we are in audio again, for 2016. Please subscribe through WordPress (to the right on this page). In 15 minute format now, because I understand this is the most popular podcasting format these days. This week a little explanation and a prayer of blessing. Now, I have to remember to put text into WP, then make a link, then put code in, being sure it is right with no trash AND THEN to eliminate the “http://” because WP will automatically put that in. Aha. (And never mind that WP just added some code to this text! OY Vey!)

Apologies to those of you who came early and found a bit of coding trash. I was obviously technical difficulties. Our sound file hosting friends had an unavoidable change in servers. WordPress as decided to make several changes too, which in our view were all poor choices. But I also was having some difficulty getting my code up right. So I was getting changes or eliminations of the code from my server support. Struggle. It would be better if I could devote myself to my calling to creating the content and that I had someone whose calling and talent was to do the tech. I need some volunteer tech help or money to pay tech help. Audio files are ready to go, with good server support (we really like NetBroadcasting — great for churches.) Contact me if you have help.
