Grandmother’s Prayer Army Encouragement

Next installment.

I recounted in a full episode a meeting of an old friend of this broadcast, Simon Okwayo, and his burden for American children and youth. Hear that. Then, I announced a prayer campaign: pray 10 minutes a day first for your offspring and then for the neighbors and finally for the nation’s children and youth. Since then, the movie “Sound of Freedom” came out. More has come out. This week, we will go to the library: mom and the kids. For now, more encouragement and specific ideas for your prayer campaign.

Invite others, won’t you?

Announcing A Grandmothers’ Prayer Campaign

Today I announce a grandmothers’ prayer campaign. Of course, anyone can join in. It is a prayer campaign for our children. So often summer was the time when young people got into trouble. Now…. well, maybe they are safer with the regular trouble than what they might get in school? So often summer vacation was the time that families looked forward to going to places like xyz. We can’t even think of that place anymore. Then, more recently, looked forward to sending their children back to school. Wow! I never did. School was hell for my daughter. Summer was a time to rest and to learn.

But now, there seems to be no break from the waves of horrible news. Well, let’s be a force back. When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Lord raises a standard. That would be a standard like in the Roman army of the time. Tall flags led the men into battle. We have a spiritual battle. The grandmothers can lead in prayer. Thanks to the fathers who lead in politics and security. Thanks to the mothers who do double duty home-making, educating, and even being employed. So much for women’s liberation! LOL Thanks to the young people who are standing up for doing right and speaking the truth.

Everything is so bewildering, I know. It is hard for the common young person to distinguish between right and wrong. It is hard for the average public official to admit that he or she can tell. It hard for the older person even to believe what they hear. And the legacy news media…. well.

So, instead of on and on and on, let’s pray. It is announced. God will win. This is how we partner with God.  So, I am announcing a Grandmother’s prayer campaign. Maybe just for the summer. Certainly until we see results. Please pray with us.

Back to School

It is back to school time in Texas, and will be soon in other places. Therefore, today, we are going to bring back an old episode in which we had an intercessor pray for teachers and students going back to school. It was 2008 and Bob Long came into the radio station with us to talk to us about what teachers and students could do in public school and primarily to pray for them. At that time, his ministry was leading intercessors across out metro area. After that, he spent a lot of time praying for those in our state legislature. I’ve lost track of Bob since then, but surely our parents, teachers, students…. and governmental officials need prayer now more than ever.

It is a busy time as we go about trying to meet our own needs, those of our families, and work for civic duty. It is the start of the school year here, so that is often a change of schedule. Some are going off to school Others are beginning homeschooling. I have just heard from another state, that while many were learning online, so many people are hungry for face to face interaction, that many homeschoolers are abandoning online and  starting to meet with others.

Here, many of my friends are involved in election work: door knocking, more meetings and so forth. Given what we heard at the summit this weekend in Missouri, we have a much clearer picture of the challenges before us. Facts are abundantly clear that are hilariously still disputed —  but a new and even more nefarious picture of widespread evil has emerged. This must change strategy.

For parents, protecting our children must be foremost. For those of us with enough to sustain ourselves, we are tasked with civic duty to try to bring our nation back to liberty and justice.

Clearly, it is a time for earnest prayer!  Lord, help us! Purify our hearts. Grant repentance to our land. Strengthen the hearts of the pure. Thank you for the angelic hosts.Thank you for the sons of God, willing to lay down their lives to teach and lead us.  Come, Lord, Jesus!
