The most important tip for college is to show up. The next is to engage. It is the same in life. Check out life lessons from college on the player. Or what every freshman needs to know.

God both all good and all powerful
God can’t be both omnipotent and good? This is not the dilemma it seems. God is not in charge of the world? – learn more on www.greatshalom.org
This is the challenge that some philosophy professors pose. What is the answer? Do you know? Does your child know? You should!
God IS all good. God IS all powerful. There IS a lot of evil in the world. How can this be? Because God turned the dominion or management of the earth over to humans. Take a look in Genesis 1:26-28 and in Psalms 115.
It is just like parents who give their child money for college. They are not somehow then responsible for the child’s grades.
They might be willing to help, if the child asked. Hey, folks, I need a tutor! Okay!
That is like God. And if you had a good and powerful parent, wouldn’t it be a good idea to consult with them and listen to what they had to say?
Hear more about this on this week’s episode. If you missed it on Word of Faith Radio, check out the player.
BTW, I have a book on how to avoid losing your faith in college. Check in out in GSB books.
Love is healing
Love is very healing.
For instance, studies show that women with breast cancer are more likely to get well if they are in support groups. The scientists concluded that getting the women to open up and share their feelings was what did it. I think that is the wrong conclusion. We all know that complaining is not healing. No, what was healing is that these women felt supported. They had new love in their lives.
I think that love is very healing in learning problems too. You can just see a child blossom when they come into a situation of feeling loved. You see this with children where family situations have been poor. You see this with students brought into the influence of a great teacher.
Learning and social problems are so heartbreaking. Particularly in families that are achievement oriented. So parents in this case need an infusion of God’s love. Fortunately it is abundantly available.
Of course families that are not achievement oriented may be in even greater need. They need to be encouraged that they too can excel. That God loves them. That God wants the best for them, too, not just a few rich people on the earth. Fortunately the word is out on that, too.
That is what this ministry is all about. We want to send out the love. We want to send out the good news.
Of course, we want to preach it everywhere we can. I am grateful for the ability to be on what “air” channels we are, that podcasting is going out to so many, and that we can blog like this. Thank you to all the providers of these wonderful, and inexpensive services! Thank you to those who supported us on local radio, too.
We also want to demonstrate God’s love. We offer to pray for/with any who request prayer. Just let us know. We send a newsletter to any who desire it. We pray for our listeners and partners daily. We speak and teach wherever we can. We are so happy to share what we have, to sow the seed we have.
Every teacher knows that learning is not complete until the student puts what is taught to active use. So as all ministries must, we also offer the opportunity for you to participate in sowing, sharing. You know, it is abundantly clear that we are not all about money. We are giving away what we have for free, and you have freely partaken of it. We are supernaturally blessed as we walk in faith and love. We are showing you how. You are invited to walk this way also.
It is important that you communicate with us. Tell us that you hear the broadcast. Share your questions with us. If you feel that this is a worthwhile endeavor, to encourage parents and educators toward the healing, health, achievement of their children — or if you are so led of Holy Spirit — then you may contribute. You may contribute, securely, on-line at www.greatshalom.org or you may write us at P.O.Box 871 Cedar Park, Texas 78613. Please, participate in circulating the Love.
God wants total well-being for all children. You have the power to please God by participating in that project. Thank you very much.
Merry Christmas: God Loves Your Child
Merry Christmas! God LOVES your child! That is what it is all about.
What I want to do more than anything else in this broadcast ministry is to convey to you that God loves you and your child more than anything. God is powerful; God is good; God is loving. Therefore, there is healing for every problem, especially learning problems. Therefore there is wisdom for every childrearing problem. All you have to do is receive it by faith.
This is the same pattern. All Christians talk about salvation. That means rescue. You are exhorted, begged even, to recieve salvation by faith. That is the whole Christian message. Jesus came as a baby; God coming in the humble circumstances of a mortal human being. Then Jesus took upon himeself all our sin, all our punishment, all our greif, all our sickness and all our poverty. Thus he died the most excuriating death. But! He rose again from the dead. He was seen by many people. Many people’s lives were changed. And still are. And we work hard, together, to grow up to be like Him in one body. We expect Him to come again to reign in glorious condition, but not until we are ready. Hallelujah! That is the best ever!
And notice, this is no legend/myth. This is an understanding rooted in history. The God of Israel is a God who intervenes in history. Not just of nations, but also of individuals.
So, on behalf of that same God, I declare to you that God loves you. God loves your child. God has already made provision for healing for your child. God has already made provision for your wisdom, strength and grace as a parent. So I beg you, recieve the Love.
That is what Christmas is about. That is what Easter is about. That is what Pentecost is about. That is what Tabernacles is about. That is what this ministry is about. God loves you. Recieve the love.
Be healed. Be delivered. Be saved. Whatever you need, Jesus brought it. Wow! What a Christmas gift!
