What is your most important value? Does that figure in your religion?
It seems in our culture, rights is the most important value. However, rights does not figure highly in the Christianity I was taught. I was taught self-denial as the way to follow Jesus. I was taught living for others as a way to follow Jesus. I was taught holiness as a way to follow Jesus.
I see others, however, even Christians, seems to have other values. What are yours? Did you get them from your religion? Do they relate to following Jesus?
