Absolutes and feedback requested

Hosting an around-the-campfire poetry reading event, in response to a friend’s comment embracing and promoting “no absolutes”…  I was making fun of her. Don’t be sorry for her; she has a Ph.D. and full employment. I was making fun when I said, “Absolutely! There are no absolutes.”  To my surprise I was met with a round of hearty “yay!” and “Amen!” and “Preach it, sister!”  The Baptist layman was smirking across the circle, the only one who realized that I was joking and had intended to make fun of an illogicality.

Did my other friends reveal their lack of IQ? Their state of substance abuse? Or were they just not listening?

I don’t know. But I would like to know if YOU are “listening.” Anybody reading this? Am I helping anyone? If I continue to post audio casts, does it do any one else, other than me, any good?  Thanks very much.
