Texas values here lists rights you are supposed to have in Texas government schools. I hear these violated regularly. In fact, I would not expect these to be honored. Nevertheless, if you do have your child in a government/public school, you should know what your child’s rights are. And you should let them know. And you should be ready to inform the school officials, as well.

And perhaps, given the flagrant law violation of that system, you might want to consider a different placement for your child.

FYI It is illegal to have pornographic books in the libraries of Texas schools. This law is being defied. This law says nothing about curricula.
The opt-in law expires this year. In future then, unless the law is re-instated, sex curricula may be taught to students without your knowledge.
The First Amendment covers the entire United States of America, both citizens and residents. This makes religious expression legal. (Except of course if it violates another law, for instance, directly calling for immediate violence.)

You ask about Europe? UK? No, they do not have a First Amendment. Nor do they have a Constitution that is fundamentally about limiting governmental abuses. However, the UK does have the same basic understanding about law. Extraditing people from other countries for political or religious speech, according to Mr. Robert Barnes, attorney, would be illegal under UK laws. It would be completely unconstitutional for the US to permit extradition of its own citizens for some speech protected under the First Amendment.

However, please be aware: gang rape being acceptable and disagreeable political speech being punishable by death does seem to be embraced in at least by some. If one is not safe for dissent, let alone quiet private life in public places, one is under serious tyranny.

So, please, do your part, here in The United States, as a citizen — just just law abiding, but law upholding.
