Schools Must Honor Free Speech

Years ago, when this broadcast was on the local radio, we had a pastor come and tell us about proper interpretation of the law. Both students and teachers have personal free speech rights. That seems to have been in question? Forgetting the Constitution?

Gwinett University in Georgia forgot it. They pushed Chike Uzuegbunam into a back corner, and tired to initimidate him from sharing his evangelical Christian faith. He won in the Supreme Court and then in District Court. He only asked for a dollar. The university, because they chose to fight against The Constitution so long, while they only had to pay $1 to each of 2 students, also had to pay their attorneys $800,000. Alliance Defending Freedom was counsel for the plaintiff,

It is hoped that other schools take a lesson.
